It's interesting how they've spelled John as Jhon.
At first, I was admiring Akame's cool red makeup but I have to say Ben's panda eyes might be the best

Interestingly, looking at the cast list, Gohei's actor is also credited as "narration". I wonder if it's just a cost-cutting thing, like Akame and the narrator having the same voice in the GDW anime, or if Gohei is literally meant to be the narrator of the play.

This!
I really hope they decide to record some of it, it'll be interesting to see the stage and how they approach certain parts. I still think the Finnish production was genius how they visualised the battouga.

I think I like Gin's outfit alone the best. I just love the little tufts of fur coming out of it. Overall design wise I'm pretty fond of Akame and his red make up. :p Though I'm wondering why they decided to do that since thats not the kind of makeup you would truly be able to notice on a stage place. Maybe I'm wrong though?

Re: Ginga Stage - Summer 2019 Tokyo, Kobe
THIS LOL IS AMAZING.
I love this a lot LMAO
They look actually REALLY good, way better than I was imagining O_O And looking at the cast, and how legit they made John's hair match his fur pattern, I can't wait to see the demon brothers! Moss will probably look horrifying LOL
But...where's Cross in that cast list? Maybe they haven't assigned her actress yet, but I hope that's the case. She's pretty main. She's the first dog to talk to Gin after all...
As for design, Akame's human form looks beautiful.. and I love how he has ninja-based clothes on too
Ben looks strange though... not what I was expecting. Hopefully he looks better in motion than his pictures.
I'm pumped. I wish we could go see this, ugh. Whoever records it, or if the company themselves do it, I hope record it with really nice quality ;3;

All these JP stage plays get pretty nice recordings done, which is why they work so much on makeup and everything too I'm sure we'll see DVDs floating around later~

Yeah John's hair looks so cool tbh!!! Makes me kinda sad that Gin's wig doesn't look as good. Something about it is just kinda "meh" looking.
Also they better give the Kai bros stripey face make up. That'd look so cool.

This looks like it's going to be crazy! But in a good way. I love those costumes!

This looks amazing. Lol. Ben's costume makes him look particularly badass. Wish I could see this live.

Re: Ginga Stage - Summer 2019 Tokyo, Kobe
hol' up is Gin wearing a bear claw necklace??
That doesn't even make particularly much sense from a lore standpoint (he doesn't really fight enough bears to gather trophies off them until the end of the Akakabuto arc) but it's so awesome I can't complain.

Dead excited for this! I remember watching the fan-made Finnish one on YouTube and thoroughly enjoying it, so I hope it'll be even better now that we're getting an official musical. Gin and Riki's costumes are my favourites so far. Hope we get to see more character updates in the future.
Confession time: when I first saw the pictures I mistook Ben for Kurojaki because he's missing his red necklace...

Haha I actually thought it was Sniper! I guess the belt and the red lining on his shirt collar stand for the necklace.Shining Sirius wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2019 2:18 pm Dead excited for this!
