Saddest death in GNG anime

Ginga Nagareboshi Gin is very close to my heart.
I wanna know which character's death shook you more?
My saddest death is my favorite character:Riki.

Riki seems like the obvious choice, but honestly I think Terry has the saddest death. I don't really get emotional at Ginga but Ben and the rest of the dogs in the gorge cheering him on because that's all they can do really gets to me.

The second saddest death in my opinion was of Kurojaki's minions.I mean Gin spared their lives but they died honorably with their leader.

I agree with Wolpard on Akatora's death. It was pretty great (as deaths go), but it wasn't sad. Kinda left me feeling more pumped than anything, if that makes sense? I love it went characters have a really badass death haha//

Benizakura for sure. Not only did he die sacrificing himself, but he wasn't even supposed to die in the first place, him dying wasn't part of the characters' plan and he just very very tragically got his foot caught in the rope and bravely accepted his fate and pushed Gin away from helping him so everything else would still go according to plan. Drowning is also a pretty horrid way to go.

It was definitely tragic, though I guess it feels less sad because we didn't get to know Kurojaki and his clan in the same way we got to know, say, Benizakura (especially since Beni was on the side of the protagonist and the Koga clan were antagonistic).

Oh man, how could I forget Hayato? We didn't get to know him for very long but his death is very, very sad and upsetting.

Also Jinnai was one of my favourite characters because I do am a sucker for minor secondary characters and his death was just like oh no he's gone now. Like whoops just fell into a bears mouth goodbye lets never speak of it again. It crushed a wee Morti it did
