These are among the many questions that the whole Ginga fandom wants to know, but so far Takahashi hasn't mentioned them anywhere.Mr Charisma wrote: ↑Wed May 13, 2020 6:03 am What are the names of mates of Chutora and Kurotora? Also how exactly did Chutora die?I've been trying to find the answer for years!

It's from Kai no San Kyoudai, which was part of Shin Gaiden 1.

Oh thanks!! I have the book but sadly it's not the colored version. Do you know where to get it colored?

The color pages were only available in the magazine where the story was first published. This is usual practise in Japan, where color pages are turned black and white when the story is published in book format.

We don't see much of their interaction with one another, but at the very least Fuuga greatly respected Riki for saving his life. They didn't seem to be particularly close, though, judging by the fact that the two apparently hadn't seen each other in a while by the time Fuuga came to Ohu looking for him in the wolf arc and how Riki never once mentioned Fuuga prior to his death (though the latter could be excused as the wolf arc not existing yet and/or his amnesia). In general, we never find out how Riki felt towards Fuuga.
So it's hard to say, but it's possible.

I admit it might just be me, but I think you can have great respect and owe a debt of gratitude for someone without being their friend. I guess it depends on what your definition of "friend" is.

Re: GNG General Questions thread (this topic replaces the spoiler topic)
Something to think about: when we see Akame and his clan for the first time... they somehow still have freshly set up, unused traps really close to their territory despite being at war for hundreds of years. just how recent were the humans still involved in this fight to have spike traps that were useable? lol or did the koga and iga dogs take a few years of a break fighting each other so these traps didnt have to be used yet...?

Re: GNG General Questions thread (this topic replaces the spoiler topic)
Uuuh, dogs made them? The Iga clan made them for Kogas. The traps are very simply made and doesn't have any special parts. It's just sticks, grass and a hole.Dragon wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 8:04 am Something to think about: when we see Akame and his clan for the first time... they somehow still have freshly set up, unused traps really close to their territory despite being at war for hundreds of years. just how recent were the humans still involved in this fight to have spike traps that were useable? lol or did the koga and iga dogs take a few years of a break fighting each other so these traps didnt have to be used yet...?

I agree with Kaiken, I'm pretty sure dogs made those traps. Not too outlandish for Ginga where dogs carry weapons and have human level sentience. I mean the Kogas were scrolls that were in the Iga's possession- I know its left over from the human war but what would dogs do with the scrolls? :p

Re: GNG General Questions thread (this topic replaces the spoiler topic)
They said they would guard them.
So basically the Iga/Koga conflict is which dog gets to guard a scroll!

For the Igas, yes, but for the Kogas it was all about stealing the scrolls.
The whole thing is basically a Grade A example of the ninja philosophy of "fulfill your duty, no matter what"; the scrolls were ultimately useless because the humans who could read and use them were long gone, but because the ancestors of the Koga dogs had been tasked with stealing them, it was the clan's duty to do so. Same goes for the Igas and protecting the scrolls.

I mean they both wanted to guard the scrolls. Kogas' orders were to steal the scrolls and guard them until their owners can read them, but since they were no more, it's just guarding.
