Look at him. He's so noble looking, but there's also a gentleness in his eyes that I love. If only GDW could have kept this style though the whole series.

I do like the early style on Gin, too. However, I got no problems with the later styles. To me, every style has looked good on Gin.

I LOVE early gdw Gin! Later on he just looks like a sickly, judgmental/distant old man to me

I KNOWWWWW. And Yoshi made him look different from Tokimune. Tokimune has much "harder" eyes with smaller pupils. Adult Gin has a very youthful air to him despite his old age. You'd think he's 5 instead of 10+.

I also like Gin's early style in the GDW manga very much! He's very handsome.

Here's Tokimune as a comparison. Also, is it just me, or does Toki seem slightly more heavyset than Gin? Maybe I'm just imagining it with his personality and his poses.

Gin has always looked good in all manga Takahashi has made, even if the style became more streamlined as time went on. GDW Gin as a whole has been quite a beautiful sight to behold from start to finish, including the near full display of his matured personality.

It feels like he started to care less about the series and no longer wanted to draw as amazing as he clearly can. Rocket looks so odd with the giant fish eyes he has later on.
