I just feel Orion is so depressed over the whole ordeal from TLW (seeking revenge so badly he ingored his brother when he was dying) that he doesn't see revenge as a good thing anymore. I think Orion's reaction - while maybe not totally correct in that situation - was very understandable considering what he's going through.

I think everyone's jumping the gun with this whole "Orion is becoming Sirius" thing. I'd rather wait and see how Orion develops before making any hasty conclusions.

Lol I just realized that it is always Reika who gets others into trouble Like most of the GDW shit would not have happened if Reika had not gotten into trouble with HougenDragon wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 1:15 pm Poor Reika. I'm really disappointed in all this Orion change too. I hope it's not hinting to Orion being another clone, but is hinting to him figuring out being himself ISN'T a bad thing.

Re: Ginga Densetsu Noah, SPOILER THREAD
I definitely agree with it being an understandable development. Its kinda nice to see some change in Yoshi's characters as well because as we all know, a lot of the characters in the series are very static. My biggest gripe is that he didn't fully show the change, he just time skipped and Orion is acting different. I suppose we are seeing some grief with Orion, but I kinda wish we got to see the immediate aftermath.YamaDora wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 10:01 pm I think everyone's jumping the gun with this whole "Orion is becoming Sirius" thing. It is an understandable development. I have no problem with Orion not being the agessive character he was in GDWO/TLW and think it’s fine for him to adopt /some/ of Sirius’ ideals, but as I said in my post I just don’t want him to become an exact copy of all of Sirius’ thoughts and feelings. Perhaps some of us are getting ahead of ourselves with feeling this way, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if things turned out that way, I guess.

Also the boss sounds like Hougen 2.0... "Take the females because he likes them" and again that female is Reika...

ngl that line is making me suspect the leader of the Aka'ari could be Hougen's or maybe Genba's son. There's also the fact that he apparently hates the Ohu army and is located in Niigata, where Genba used to live prior to joining the war against the Ohu army (Rocket says "apparently Hougen has a little brother in Niigata" in GDW vol 11).
It's probably a long shot (and Ginga has never been one for subtle foreshadowings like this), but it's a possibility, I guess.

Re: Ginga Densetsu Noah, SPOILER THREAD
To be very fair, I must add that Orion didn't really exactly say that revenge is bad. He just say that his BROTHER thought revenge is bad. That scene looked more like him remembering his brother and his ideology, not necessary representing said ideology himself. It was like ''oh, my dead bro also used to wear red hat, now I'm sad because I got reminded of that red hat boohoo''.
I was waiting for him to defend said ideology or deny it saying he doesn't understand it after Tama got stressed, but he didn't reply any of that, so I'd say it's still unknown what he actually thinks.

Thanks Fanta for translating Chapter 21. Sorry to hear that your work has been very overwhelming recently.
: "This may sound mean, but he was different from us."
Maybe I'm reading too far between the lines but; did... did Kin just imply that Sirius had some sort of mental disorder? Ouch.
I'm annoyed by Yoshi bringing Reika back just to use her as a damsel character again... we all know that Reika has a bit of fire in her, but here she's just a liability again.
Anyway, I feel really sorry for Orion in this chapter. He's still grieving, but Tama, who is also grieving, doesn't seem to care and keeps trying to place him atop this pedestal of authority. How many times does Orion have to tell these dense dogs that he's not interested in being the Supreme Leader of the Ohu Army?
I think it's healthy that Orion is trying to understand Sirius' peaceful ideals, but I don't think preaching something he doesn't understand is.
Also, why didn't Orion tell Tama, Kin and Reika to go back to Ohu and instead told them to go to a complete stranger for refuge? Gin, Kurotora, Cross and the Kama brothers are just some of the dogs who didn't go out after Orion... or Koyuki and Bella... or Hiro's family. Um, on second thought... maybe Orion made the right decision there...

I wouldn’t be surprised if Sirius had some mental disorder, lol, because he what he was doing in TLW was literally the definition of insanity: doing the same shit over and over and expecting a different result.
I probably am jumping the gun with the whole “Orion becoming Sirius” thing, yeah, but after TLW, I don’t even wanna look at that idiot’s face anymore.

I think that line was more suggesting that Sirius was too nice to be a soldier like them. So it was more gently calling him a wuss than saying he had a mental disorder. At least, that's how I took it.Shining Sirius wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2019 2:57 pm : "This may sound mean, but he was different from us."

I actually like where they seem to be taking Orion's character. I wish they had showed his change more gradually instead of just jump cutting to it (like some other people have said) but at least he's tolerable now. His personality in TLW was so toxic I swear I was rooting for Monsoon by the end. I think eventually he'll regain some of his fire but understand his brother's position a little better while fighting whoever this new enemy is. That way he'll grow up enough to maybe, maybe be a decent successor to his father (even though Weed should still be the leader in the first place).

I agree here, i like how Orion has changed so much. He was unbearable in Last Wars, so when this came i hoped he wouldn't go around thinking that Sirius is an idiot but really misses him and others too. I think the Whole Last Wars was the most underwhelming and disappointing story in the Ginga series, but this one seems to return to the better form.Eclipse-Wolven wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 7:06 amI think that line was more suggesting that Sirius was too nice to be a soldier like them. I'm getting more excited to find out whether or not Crow (the really big Dog) is the main villain or is there someone else. We'll see....

Thank you so much for scanning the chapter again, blivery!
You go, Orion! Go face that pack calmly head-on and show your guts!
Kyoshiro Jyoshiro on the other hand... How about you don't molest Hirota? Yoshi could have played the scene as one of the "hahaha bad humor what a joke" -scenes Ginga has had before. But all the other characters look so uncomfortable watching it happen.. OOF.

Every chapter, I'm hoping Jyoshiro gets killed.
Every chapter, I am disappointed.
He's just become so awful and gross.
