Futago Pass or Twin Peaks (for GingaWiki)
With chapter 2 of volume 3 out on MangaPlanet, we know now the call what we have known as "Futago Pass" as "Twin Peaks". We also know that in the Finnish release, it's called Futago-sola (Futago-pass) in their manga.
So what shall the article on Ginga Wiki be called? Vote in poll! And if want, write your input on why. ^_^

I voted to keep Futago Pass because I think of it as a name and I also think its more recognizable to fans that way

I vote keeping it as Futago Pass as well. It sounds more authentic since the story is taking place in Japan, plus I think calling it Twin Peaks will get users thinking more about the TV show rather than the mountain name.

As cool as Twin Peaks sounds, Futago Pass is just such a staple for us at this point, I can't turn back now. Twin Peaks just reminds me of the name of another series.

Futago Pass all the way. It's just what it's always been called, plus there's a show with the same name. Super confusing. Was that a literal translation or and artistic liberty?

Its a literal translation. "Futago" means twin, and "tōge" (which fandom and Finland has translated as "pass") is more frequently translated to "peak" (though it can also mean a "pass" between peaks, so "pass" is not technically wrong).MasterOfCider wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 3:11 am Futago Pass all the way. Hmm...that's super interesting. Thanks for the info! Who'd have thought the translation that most of us use and prefer is the one that's arguably not as correct.Wolpard wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 6:51 amIts a literal translation.
