Your Favorite Kai Brother

Kurotora is my absolute favorite. Not only I love his design, but his personality stands out more to me than his brothers do. He puts up a very hot-blooded attitude specially during the Wolf Arc and has a lot of awesome moments.
But a lot of times it just sounds like he is trying really hard to look cooler than he really his and instead ends up looking very silly, Like in that one scene where he is joking about Moss' speed and he turns to his brothers expecting them to praise him for saying that, but then Moss looks at him threateningly and Kurotora goes like ''Wait, I was joking. It's a joke, i tell you!'' and gets really nervous. It just adds to his charm for me.

I'd have to go Akatora.

Putting his life on the line for his friends and ultimately sacrificing it for that reason, that's what gives him the upper hand in my choice in this debate. Plus his voice actor in the anime (Koji Totani, RIP) stands out a lot more than the other two did.

Kuro was the comedy relief out of the two and has his awesome moments, but he just seemed a little brash. Prefered him way more in GDW though.
I felt Chutora didn't get enough exposure and character-build as the other two in GNG. Kinda feel sorry for him too being disposed of before GDW, would've liked to see more of him.

I've always loved how Akatora takes the role of a big brother, tho I love Kurotora's more chill and joking nature in GNG
Its a shame Chutora didn't get as much of a spotlight as his brothers, his design is my favorite in the anime.

All of them! I always considered the trio to be that. A trio. One dog is one part of a whole, so I always loved them equally. That also made it so much more heart-breaking when Akatora died, and disappointed when Chutora was just...well, dead. We don't really know anything IIRC. One of them dying is like looking at something great slowly crumble in front of my eyes. The kai trio was always and will probably always be one of my favorites things about Ginga.

But, if I really do have to choose which part of the trio I like the most, then it's Kurotora because I have a weird special connection with him because I voice him in the unofficial GDW dub. Lending my voice to him gives this weird connection if you know what I mean. It just makes the character a little more special in my eyes.

Big struggle between Aka and Kuro. I love Akatora's honour and loyalty, but also pretty dear to Kuro's undying firey attitude. He also has the best design out of the three!

I actually like Kurotora. Of course, Akatora is everyone's favorite neon-red dog, and I think he is amazing, but Kuro is an interesting side character that we get to see more of in later Ginga series. He is funny and looks cool, and I love how Yoshi never took his 2D depth-perception-less vision into account

Kurotora is my favourite.

I've always liked his attitude, and when I saw him the first time when I was a child, I liked him immediately because he is blue in the GNG anime and my favourite colour was and still is blue...
